Advantage Gold/Select Silver

Options
Many years ago I had some financial difficulties.Natwests adviser "helped" byallowing extra borrowing to my mortgage and said it would be beneficial to me to take out an "advantage gold" a/c as this would give me an approved overdraft and insurance benefits. Now a few years ago I was told because I don,t use the insurance benefits I would be better off with the "select silver a/c" Last week I get e-mail saying the are reducing the benefits and the monthly cost.I have won a PPI claim against Natwest and am now mortgage free.Do I have a claim or should I just tell them to stick it

Neither, I would think, from the limited information given.

If you don't need the account, downgrade or close it.

You could complain your package was sold but if the account did give you an overdraft (that you used) and insurance cover that was suitable then can't really see why there is a complaint reason. Clearly as you don't use the policy they are giving you a cheaper account but that doesn't mean at point of sale that the insurance wasn't potentially useful
