Does anyone know anything about Heyday? I gather that if you join (I think you have to be over 50) you get a bi-monthly magazine and discounts at lots of shops like Asda, John Lewis etc.
I had a quick look at the site http://www.heydayshop.org.uk/index.html and I think you have to buy vouchers which then gives you 5% off. They also give discounts on various other things but not sure that I am that interested in any of them
Just wondered if anyone had joined or could recommend it

Hi lolly,
You might get more response on the Silver Savers board, so I'll move your thread over there.

Thanks for your replies.
I have seen the site and the other thread but really I want to know if anyone has paid £20 to join and whether it is worth it0 -
I recently joined. The mag is a good read. My motive for joining is that I can use the 5% to get more than the 20 quid back on a rather exepensive new fridge freezer, and, I was curious to see what its about.
There is a lot of waffle on the literature they send you. It remains to be seen whether they deliver.Survivor of debt, redundancy, endowment scams, share crashes, sky-high inflation, lousy financial advice, and multiple house price booms. Comfortably retired after learning to back my own judgement.
This is not advice - hopefully it's common sense..0
