I’ve had my letter back from my mandatory reconsideration and only gained extra points in one area. They’ve referenced my consultant letter, but then said this doesn’t match their stereotype of my job and have therefore not attributed further points in those areas. They’ve also declined evidence I suffer from anxiety and am on a high dose tricyclic for its analgesic, depressant and anxiety reducing properties alongside diazepam on a PRN basis. They’ve attributed the fact I drive a car to their refusal to listen to my consultant, insisting my ability to drive a car means I am able to raise my arms, move my steering wheel, stand and prepare a meal and dress and undress myself. I’m in a quarrel now, because I’ve explained just how much my job has been adapted for me to a point I’m able to do the job well, my consultant has provided significant amounts of evidence which they’re now not listening to. Is it worth considering lodging an appeal?

Its always worth going to appeal, how many points did you score for care/mobility?0

Even with having to pay to go to court? My daily living activities I scored 9 for daily living and 8 for mobility.
Interestingly, they still haven’t taken into account my need for help doing physiotherapy every day either.0 -
Even with having to pay to go to court?
a) It's a tribunal not a court;
b) There are no fees payable when appealing a DWP decision.
Why do you think you will have to pay?Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.0 -
