Does anyone on here pay much heed to Morning Star ratings?
Out of interest I did a search on iWeb for funds with a 5-star Morning Star rating (performance in comparison to similar investments) with a 'High' Morning Star sustainability (environmental, social, governance) rating. I then sorted by lowest Ongoing Charge Figure and the winner is...
L&G Global Technology Index I Acc (0.32% OCF). In reality I suspect tech firms just did particularly well over recent years. I'm not sure some of the major holdings such Facebook are particularly earn that sustainability rating in my opinion!
Next on the list were: Schroder Instl Pacific (0.53% OCF), JOHCM UK Opportunities Y GBP (0.70% OCF), and four Royal London Sustainable funds (0.76%/0.77% OCF).

Personally, I would have thought that the Financial Times would be far better able to offer advice on such capitalist propositions.0

I am subscribed to the Morningstar UK and US channels on YouTube and while I like their general content - when interviewed their analysts don't seem any more clued up than the average DIY fund picker. I suspect there may be undisclosed commercial relationships supporting some of the content and ratings.0

Yes, comments in the "People's Daily" are going to be biased. But I don't use either the socialist paper or the completely separate financial website to research funds.“So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.”0
