Hi,
Just received the standard pay £60 within 14 days or £100 after, parking charge notice.
Anpr photo with 2 hour 18mins time difference on it.
According to other posts regarding the specific retail park, the limit is 2 hours. No concessions. No return within 2 hours.
OBVIOUSLY this is extortion and I don't want to pay anything.
With an elderly disabled passenger and pain in the !!! toddler on board, 2 hours really doesn't go far with potentially 5 shops to spend time and money
in.
Any chance on appeal? I mean...in theory the driver could have dropped people off and returned after the 2 hour period...

Just send the standard template appeal that can be found in post #1 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread.
No need to change it at all - just send it as it is.
Make sure you submit the appeal as the vehicle keeper.0 -
This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.
Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and another company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each year). They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P. for unprofessional conduct
Hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned.
The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the HofC recently.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind they will be out of business by Christmas. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -

This is so easy to win it's laughable, but don't go blabbing who was driving.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
