so is it like this,
this one reads 96191, ignore the red digits.

The meter reading hasn't changed since I moved in. The photo of the initial reading and today's reading are identical. Scottish Power are going to send someone out to check.0

so if needle is over say 4, look to dial on right, if it has not yet past the 0 then it's a 3, if past the 0 then it's 4.0 -

yes, but ignore the red, only used in meter testing.0 -

I hope someone somewhere is keeping at least a few old meters like that. I asked recently and was told anything non-digital was going in a recycling skip. It would be nice to know there was a museum somewhere that the 'digital kids' will be able to go one day and see how it was done in the past.
