I just started with Scottish Power and my meter is of the old fashioned dial type. I am not allowed to post links as a new user so I will post the photo of the meter once I am allowed.

The meter reading hasn't changed since I moved in. The photo of the initial reading and today's reading are identical. Scottish Power are going to send someone out to check.

    Hi,

so if needle is over say 4, look to dial on right, if it has not yet past the 0 then it's a 3, if past the 0 then it's 4.

That's why I put it in brackets to show why I was 31 kWh less than your reading.

I hope someone somewhere is keeping at least a few old meters like that. I asked recently and was told anything non-digital was going in a recycling skip. It would be nice to know there was a museum somewhere that the 'digital kids' will be able to go one day and see how it was done in the past.

The Brand Museum in London is a real education... and shows the importance of some people hoarding 'rubbish' ;)

You had two attempts at it and eventually got it right, and YOU are the one constantly correcting my grammar..You stick to that and leave the dial meters alone..get in the corner !

jings, might've known you'd stick your neb in.

Edit: just noticed, you've got 2 full stops (..) after grammar, and it should be commas (,,) after alone.
