Good evening
I'm hoping someone can help me. I've moved house recently and been digging through old paperwork and found my Co-op shares. I purchased a massive £5 in 1993 (a lot of money to a cash strapped teen at the time!) and the last communication I've had from them was in 2002.
I need to update my address and check the status of the shares - not sure if they even still exist - but I'm struggling to know who to contact. It's not the Co-op bank.
Can anyone give me some advice? I'm probably chasing a lame duck but would rather check before chucking.

Could you literally buy shares in CWS Ltd (e.g. have bought £100 or more had you wanted to) or was the £5 the cost of becoming a member at the time? I wasn't aware that you could buy a number of shares of your choosing but I am aware of the concept of membership.
Either way, maybe the membership query contact details would be the best way to go.
