Followed MSE advice and looked to change my credit card to 0% balance transfer. Used and eligibility calculator and was told I was accepted by Virgin money. Completed application including my bank account details but after submitting I got a message saying they were considering my application and would respond in 5 days! Will this now show up in my credit score as a search even if they refuse me?

    We got the same message, then was declined. It will show as a footprint on your file.

    It seems very common with Virgin. Both times I've applied I had to wait. Both applications were ultimately successful.

    Some people on here claim you're more likely to get an instant decision if you apply during working hours. Both of my applications were at weekends.
