Don't worry. Your credit score is a pretend number. It's not connected to your credit worthiness and isn't seen or used by anyone.

All you have to do is manage your credit responsibly - eg make all contractual repayments. Using a card and clearing in full each month is good way to build history.

If you think you have a patchy credit history, use a decent broker.

How many defaults is 'some'? You may have paid them off, but the defaults will remain on your credit history for another 2 years, and will certainly impact upon your ability to get a mortgage, and it's cost, even though they will show as satisfied.

you doing the right things to build up a file/history - score is for your eyes only and means nothing to lenders
defaults will stay on your file for 6 years from date of 1st default, so another two years before they disappear. if you do look at your "score" and want to see it increase for you, you will notice this once defaults are removed

When are you wanting to apply for a mortgage ?

Whats exactly on your report, any negatives ?

What score do you think is ok for a mortgage ? Lenders don't see your score anyway, focus on your history being correct/up to date.

5 defaults and you think you'll get a mortgage?! Dream on.
I should put your house buying plans on hold for another 3 years until those drop off your credit history.

They would need to see a specialist broker. And expect to pay high rates
