    Must be the snow, or the cold weather. I seem to remember that it was around this time last year that exactly the same problem happened to Nationwide - all credits into Flexaccounts didn't happen.

    My wages were always late during my thankfully brief time with abbey,funny though,workmates in proper banks never had any problem

    My mate who works for abbey as he dont have an abbey account he always gets his wages 2 days later than everyone else.
    Im an ex employee RBS Group
    However Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own

    Charge them £35 for late payment.

    Good luck; there's no contract in place between the customer and Abbey to allow for it.

    My uncle works for abbey in Belfast and he said at one stage they had 1000 people waiting in the telephone queue to speak to an adviser!

    My salary was due that day, I phoned them at 12.10 to check my balance and realised it hadnt been paid in, to say I was angry was an understatement, the advisor couldnt give me any reassurances at all just kept stating that it would be in by the end of the day. Just as well I never booked the day off to go Christmas shopping.

    Salary went into account around 2pm. First time this has happened with Abbey, usually I have no problems at all with them.
