How much would you budget for this?

Hi Everyone,

My partner and I are currently renting so don't know much regarding how much home repairs cost. We're looking to buy a house and know we'll need to make some changes to the bathroom. It is currently a small shower room with a large cupboard containing the boiler and washing machine. We'd like to install a bath with a shower overhead-- much more practical with little kids! So that we know how much to offer, please could someone give me a rough idea of how much it would cost to do the following:
- Move the boiler to the kitchen (just the other side of the wall)
- Hook up the washing machine in the kitchen (We may lose cupboard space here)
- take out the shower unit and install a bath with a shower overhead
- any necessary tiling, etc associated with removing the shower and cupboards

Absolutely meaningless asking for costs on a website like this. Get 3 free quotes from local tradesmen, they will give you ideas on how best to achieve what you want and what it will cost.

Ask around on social media for recommendations as to which tradesmen to contact.

Apologies if anyone is upset by the term tradesman, tradespeople doesn't have quite the same ring to it.
