You do pet, anyone used it?

One of my cats is getting too expensive to insure as we discovered the hard way that he is sensitive to certain medications a few years ago. Needless to say we are extremely careful what the vet gives him now so that is generally not a problem any more but we are still paying the insurance annually what they paid out once!
I saw an advert on Facebook for a form of group funded insurance called You Do Pet an wondered if this could be a good solution for him. Has anyone come across it or used it and could give advice on if it is good? Thanks

Do you know how it works?
A member submits a claim and all other members of their group pay a share of that claim.
So you, Susan join and pay a membership fee. If you have a claim you submit it and the cost is divided up among the other members of the group you have been out in.
When Dave makes a claim you have to pay a share of his claim. and also for Bob's claim and Jane's claim etc.,etc.
You may not make any claim in a year but you still have to pay out for other people's claims.
So, you don' t pay your own claims but you pay a share of everybody else's claims.
Some will be winners, some will be losers- same as with insurance.
