Architectural laminated glass for driveway

Does anyone have any contacts for the supply only of a piece of laminated clear glass suitable to take the weight of vehicles on my driveway.
I have discovered an interesting feature and although I can sort out the fabrication of a steel frame, I am having trouble finding a glass supplier that isn't stupidly expensive or up their own bottom about the industry they are in.
Glass panel approx. 65cm square.

I looked into getting some glass for the top of a well in my kitchen floor and it is crazy expensive. I ended up just getting some toughened glass and built a timber hatch over the top. The main expense of mine other than the glass had to be about an inch thick was it had to be round so had to be specially cut to size.
If you can have a square piece and adjust the size of your feature opening you might be able to find some laminated ballistic glass from an old bank counter. That usually just gets thrown in the skip and would expect could take the weight of a car.0 -
Looks like I might be sorted. Initial quotes around £2k but now a more reasonable £300 ish for triple laminate drive on glass.
London Architectural Glass (LAG) are the winners so far. No connection to their business but very impressed with their phone help (and price!)Signature on holiday for two weeks0 -

That is a very good price, I'll save their name in case I ever need it again.0 -

The only thing is that glass is incredibly slippery when wet. It is possible to get away with small areas (uplighters, lightwells, smokevents etc) but if you haven't already, you might need to look at some form of slip-resist coating for an area as large as the one you are doing."In the future, everyone will be rich for 15 minutes"0 -

Bomb shelter, stairwell down then left turn into 3m square room albeit low ceiling height.Sounds really interesting.

Yes, aware of that. Plenty of room around it for car to slip but looking at sandblasting pattern or circles on it to add grip to reduce pedestrian risk.Signature on holiday for two weeks0 -
Also a very good price. I wish I knew about these when I was looking a few years ago.0 -
