Aviva car insurance not on my credit report anymore

Options
Hi all.

Does car insurance normally disappear from your credit report once it's paid off and the policy ends?

In 2018 I decided to pay my Aviva car insurance monthly. All payments were reported to CallCredit and I expected it to stay there, either as settled account or something else. 1 year has passed, I'm now with a different company and there's no sign on my credit report that I ever paid monthly for Aviva car insurance.

Do lenders actually see this closed account when they check my file?

Btw, I can still see Admiral car insurance as "settled" account from 2015 but that's because I cancelled it myself. However, no trace of Aviva whatsoever. Is it OK? Is this how it's supposed to be?

They won't see it if it doesn't appear on any of your three files but it's not going to have an impact on any lending decision.

Hm.. Do you think it is a mistake? I'd be glad if someone who had their car insurance paid monthly in the past, could tell me what it looks like on their credit file now or if it appears on their credit file at all.

It doesn't really matter. They're not obliged to report the existence of your credit account and as zx81 says, it won't affect lending decisions anyway.

you sure its not in the closed account section as some cra do?
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
