Virgin media is this right ???

We have moved house, VM were informed and we were told connections would be disconnected on completion date (15-11-19)....they asked if we'd like to take the package to the new property, but as it's out in the sticks they don't supply....we told them this they checked and said yes we were correct. So obviously VM can not physically supply our new property.....my husband spoke to someone on their live chat, and was told the date of disconnection and that we would have a £56 refund.....we have received the last bill and they are saying we owe £28.....they have also charging us three lots contract terminations for TV, phone, and broadband.....our 12 month contract finished in sept, and although there was a price increase we kept the supply as we knew we were to be leaving soon.....can they actually charge us to leave, when they are unable to supply the new property and also that we were out of the 12 month contract ??

Are you sure it was 12 months? VM tend to do 18 months.
Your moving house would normally attract early termination fees regardless of whether you move next door or up to the moon if you are still in contract. In that scenario it doesn't matter whether they can supply to the new address or not, your contract was with your old address.

This is quite common "complaint" on these forums, that people move house (deliberately or otherwise) and then wonder why they get termination fees applied to their accounts.

When you left did you actually give them one month's notice?

Alternatively, did you ever agree a cheaper deal to continue with the service?
If so, this will mean a new minimum term was started.

It is out of Virgin's control that you moved to a place which has no access to Cable, so no point trying to argue that you shouldn't be charged for that reason I'm afraid.
