I think Universal Credit pays six weeks in arrears...which takes us to September before any money is received!!! :(
I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

    I love my job

used to be about 4 weeks, and 1st week you receive nothing - this has changed now that 1st week you will receive, but will depend on area and backlog, but should be paid within 1st month of application (again, this is guidelines from DWP, so 6 weeks is probably correct in what you said!!! :))

Lived on savings; 3000 pounds would be for travel/accommodation/expenses + some extra for emergencies. New job is 300 miles away.
