    Amazingly that's what happens when central government funding to councils gets slashed with nothing to replace it. If you voted Tory you voted for this.

    Months to repair potholes in my rural village in North Yorkshire.
    And when the do 'repair' them 2 guys come along chuck a bag of tarmac in the hole tamp it down with their feet & b*gger off.
    A week later the hole is back bigger & better............

    It has always been weeks if not months to repair pot holes for my council ........ and it is a Labour / Tory coalition. :beer:

    Months, even into years with my council.

    One massive pothole I complained about on several occasions was left for well over eighteen months.

    "...have long complained about the state of a junction there and when council workmen were spotted in the area they were overjoyed thinking the potholed bit of road was finally going to be repaired.

    But they were left stunned after the work was completed at the junction of Hill Street and Main Street and the potholes had not been filled in - and workmen had painted new white lines straight through them instead."
