The key for mine was the fact that they had read-only access to my bank account and pretty much ignored all the payday stuff and debt outgoings. It was the only one I felt confident in winning, so I'm glad about the result!

Same here, I borrowed the maximum available, then paid it back on payday with the interest and reborrowed it again instantly. My bank statements would have shown multiple payday loans, gambling transactions, other debts, overdrafts etc and yet they continued to let me borrow the max over and over and even upped my limit!

    Hi All,

Glad I found this forum and post whilst I begin my journey down reclaiming. Similar to most people in here, what started as borrowing a small amount of money soon spiraled out of control and became a vicious cycle of continuous borrowing from one to pay another, and re-loan after re-loan between 201

I spent time on Thursday sending out the debt camel template to the lenders I borrowed from:
    Quick Quid - no response
PayDay Express - have a esponse that they'll try to get back to me within 4 weeks with a Final outcome letter.
Pay Day UK - automated response but nothing further.
Lending Stream - have sent statements but not addressed the complaint
    Wonga - no response
    Uncle Buck - no response
    Wageday advance - no response.

In experience how long does it normally take for the responses to be confirmed, does the 8 weeks begin from the date I send the email or the date they accept it?

The 8 weeks begin from the date you send it and most of them will take the majority of the 8 weeks to respond.

Hi Dazza, yes they are part of Northway Financial based in Malta, they do respond to emails, they are quite slow though. I used the Maltese FCA to push for a refund of £1066 versus the £218 Northway had offered. You pay a fee to the Maltese regulator but if you are successful they refund the fee (25 euros which works out about £32 with international payment charges).
the MAltese FCA are very efficient ( but they only work half days!)

I have tried finding the answer, but no luck :(.

I claimed some money back from various Payday Lenders a while back, but due to mental health problems, settled with their low offers. Do you think I am able to go back to them asking for the full amount?
