Etihad: Two night FREE stop-over in Abu Dhabi

A promotion arrived in my inbox this morning from Etihad. Sounds a good deal. I hope it might be of interest for anyone planning Asia/India/Australia bound travel over coming months.

The airline is offering a FREE two-night stop over in Abu Dhabi on route to your final destination with Etihad paying for your stay in a hotel. They indicate a choice of 'Premium' hotels being offered.

Offer available for new reservations and travel anywhere on their network between 21 April and 15 July 2019.

Terms on the email, quoted below:

• The “Free Stopover” program is available to guests from all origins on the Etihad global network when transiting via Abu Dhabi to any destination on the Etihad global or Etihad Airways Partner network.
• The “Free Stopover” program is only valid for bookings paid and confirmed Online only – no bookings will be accepted via email or via the Etihad Call Centers.
• The offer is valid for bookings made in any Fare Choice within any Class on Etihad Airways, except for frequent flyer redemption bookings, award upgrades or cash plus miles promotions.
• All Etihad Airways tickets issued from 07 April 2019 – 15 June 2019 will be eligible for “Free Stopover”.
• The Hotel booking period for “Free Stopover” is from 07 April 2019 – 15 June 2019 and is applicable on new bookings only. No hotel reservations will be permitted beyond this date, regardless of flight ticket issuance date or actual travel dates.
• The Hotel stay period for “Free Stopover” is from the 21 April 2019 – 15 July 2019, excluding Islamic Public Holidays (i.e Eid Holidays from 04 June 2019 to 09 June 2019).
