Virgin Media to Freeview advice

Hi, is there anyone who can give me some advice? I am with Virgin Phone, broadband, TV) and am looking to save money so am thinking of switching to Freeview with another company supplying broadband and phone(which I have yet to decide on).
Will this be easy, how will I do it - i.e. setting up etc. I sometimes like to watch playbacks but I am not a big tv user.

If you want to use Freeveiw you will need a TV aerial, if one doesn't exist you would have to consider how much getting one installed would be.
If you get broadband from anyone , provided the speed is more that 4Mb, then catch up TV services like BBC I player , ITV Hub, etc will work, ( but maybe not in HD) but you would need a 'device' to get them to display on your TV, I would think new Freeview + boxes ( so you can pause live TV, record, series link etc) probably come with built in Apps for these services anyway, you just connect the box to the broadband router supplied by whatever company you end up choosing.
You ask will it be easy, it should be.

Unless they've got a decent Smart TV with them built in.
