    It's the size mostly. Supported at one end, it goes all floppy at the other. It needs someone at the end to stiffen it up.

    It was a foam mattress. The car is now crawling with foamlets...

    Interesting discovery: Foam mattresses (even inside covers) over slats, end up with parallel cuts in them where the edge of the slats were. Almost like they've been cut with a knife.
