    How do you get from the pavement to the front door (which, presumably the photographer is standing in front of) with two bags of shopping or a baby in a pram or car seat?

    By not putting the car in the way first?

    Going round the otherside of which car? The black one is on the OP's land the red one is on the land belonging to next door. The access to the OP's house is up the pathway between the two cars.



    It doesn't look as if there is much space between the front of the black car and the wall.

    Ah, my bad - I was assuming the black 206 was the offender here, and the red 500 was the OPs in the OP's space.

    If the 500 is parked blocking a footpath, then it's very clearcut as to what the issue is.

    @Cakeguys: there was white lines painted a few months go, however these lines were moved about three days ago.
    The residents did not like it, basically, there is a parking issue, most houses have a garage and one allocated parking - while mine - the only house on the road, has two parking spaces, but no garage.
    so by moving the lines it gave those homeowners more space without a visual boundaries...

    The removal of the lines didn't give people more space it just gave them the opportunity to park in places that were not the allocated spaces on their deeds and marked out by white lines.

    The "L" shape of white line visible at the rear of the two cars shows the OPs car (Black) parked in a designated parking space.

    It also shows that the red car is not in a designated space as that line would need to be a "T" if it was.
