Have you put a claim in against your husband who lost his bank card?
It seems like it was his fault because that triggered the subsequent events. I reckon you start at £50 but aim to get about £500 compo from him.YNAB enthusiast and extreme coupon-er.

It's really not a serious issue. It's your choice to stay in waiting for your parcel and £50 compensation is not a starting point, it's more than acceptable in view of what happened. Banks are well used to people trying their luck with sob stories, i'm sure your Daughter will be very happy with an extra £50 for her birthday !0
