Future funeral planning; has anyone used these more modern cheaper direct cremation services like pure cremation, express cremation, etc and what did you think of them ? :)

I arranged direct cremation for a relative -
basically hospital -> FD -> crematorium (with no-one from family there for commital)
I later arranged a memorial service and interment of ashes.

Whole process was very straight forward, suited our family and made juggling dates / travelling much easier, though did get some grumbling from some more distant relatives when they weren't "invited to the crem"

co-op funeral care offer a cremation without ceremony service similar to the places you mentioned above

price can vary a little bit depending on location so best check with your local co-op funeral care for correct price

I use a direct cremation for my mum earlier this year. cost £1,500. The funeral directors were lovely, went through everything just as for a normal funeral. Rang me with the date and time mum would be cremated. Went to pick her ashes up when they called to let me know. They told me most funeral companies wont do these because there is no money in it. Hope this helps others.

I've only got another 4 months to pay on my cremation.

    Obviously I won't be posting a review.
A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.
