DVLA issues

Looking for some advice on how to proceed over my dealings with the dvla
I recently had one of my cars seized by them or nsl,Im a car trader. To cut a long story short the dvla took me to court for an unlicenced vehicle, that was booked in for an mot and repair work,I was given a hefty fine.
I applied to have the case reopened at court, and had the fine dismissed null and void,I don’t want to go into to much detail..
Now I want the car back or its value and some sort of compensation for loss of earnings, since the car had been sold at the time of its seizure, loss of earnings for time taken to travel to court and expenses incurred ie petrol and parking charges and possibly distress

    What about
OP is a car trader who sold a car but the car needed a repair and MOT before the buyer collected it.

Trader booked it in for the repair and MOT at a MOT garage and was driving the car there- you are allowed to drive a car to an booked MOT appointment.

OP went to court and "had the fine dismissed null and void" - no mention of being found guilty.

Did the OP register the car though? Did it show it was in the trade?

How was it seized on this journey to or from the MOT/repair?

Guessing there is more to this, parked on the highway when seized?

A short stop on the way to a previously booked MOT with an unlicensed vehicle is OK. See Secretary of State for Transport V. Richards.

But surely as a legit trader, you had your trade plates on it anyway?

Just in case anyone thinks that sherambler has lost the plot.
This is what they were replying to in post #2.

Just in case anyone was wondering why I deleted my post.

As others have said, there is obviously much more to this story than OP wants to share and I felt it inappropriate to probe.

OP started a thread last year and didnt respond further...

missile, if you dont ask the questions that are not included then there will be little point to the forum.

As in post #4, short stop on the journey or trading from home and possibly upsets the neighbours by parking untaxed vehicles on the road all the time?

As I said there is obviously more to this tale. OP has been economical with the facts. It seems OP is unlikely to respond to questions and I see little point in speculating.
