Thanks for your wise words fatrab & HB :T
I am hoping to use this drink to cut down further - maybe to have it on one of my normal ‘allocated’ drinking days I have tried the Shloer range but like Mrs fatrab I find them too sweet
This is the one Maman - I’m not saying it tastes like the real thing but, for me, it is much more to my taste than sugary sweet soft drinks. I don’t mind slimline tonic, which is what I generally have if I am driving, but sometimes I fancy something different at home. It is 51kcal per 125ml glass and I saw it recommended in one of the Slimming World mags (last month’s I think?)

Had a short hotel break and had a drink with dinner Thursday and Friday but back on the wagon again now0 -
Well I didn't succumb to the wine last night, as you said CathyBird I told myself I could have it another night if I really wanted it. I had 3 glasses of soda water and lime instead but ended up with a headache anyway. It must have been the lime...lol
Thanks everybody for your support I really appreciate it!
6/25 for me today please Baileys0 -
Morning!
Tried something a little bit different last night. Any time I've been to the pub recently and stayed sober has been to watch rugby or football. And I've just stuck to soda & lime.
Went out for a social drink with Mrs fatrab last night and decided to give the AF drinks a try. I'm not particularly impressed with them tbh. Becks Blue and Kopparberg Cider (mixed fruit) were the only AF offerings at our local. Becks blue was ok with a dash of lime in it, but the cider is far too sweet. Still haven't been brave enough to try BB with ginger beer!! They're also a bit too expensive to be a viable option at almost the same price as their alcoholic equivalents.
BUT, and it is a big but, since the brewery imposed a price hike a few weeks ago even the price of soft drinks has gone up to an unacceptable level. £1.75 for a can of cola! When they're only charging 70p for a 16oz glass of soda & lime it just doesn't make sense to drink anything else. Basically any of the cordials with soda are the same price, so lime, orange or blackcurrant. I feel like a bit of a cheapskate but lets be honest, the whole reason most of us are on MSE is to save money!
7/28, 7/90 & 61/300 today pleaseYou can have results or excuses, but not both.Challenge - be 14 Stone BY XMAS!
