I have to admit that the best way to avoid eating crisps is not to have them in the house.:D
I'll buy some specially for a packed lunch to go on the plane for a holiday or at Christmas to go with a turkey sandwich but otherwise if we have any in when I've had a drink they call to me from the kitchen cupboard.:(
Ironically I always bulk buy booze and that doesn't encourage me to have more than I've planned but I can't do that with crisps.:o
No drinking here today. Hoping to get my 7 day smiley this week.:)

I have cut crisps almost to zero by replacing them with almonds. I dry fry almonds with tamari and keep them in a large jar. I still sometimes eat too may but nothing like the way I used to eat crisps. Not drinking helps as my treat was Kettl3 crisps and wine.Wanna_Bee_Free wrote: »Committing early - 3/14 for this evening please.
Interesting about the avocados. I’m finding almonds seem to be good at taking the edge of my craving for crisps, at least more often than not. There are some days nothing else will do though. If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

I used to work in pubs and nightclubs so I've been in those environments while sober quite a lot in the past, so maybe that helps now. Mrs fatrab used to work part-time in our local and still covers the occasional shift if needed, so she's used to being there without drinking too.Honey_Bear wrote: »You're a lot braver and stronger willed than me, too, because I wouldn't go to a pub with Mr Bear for at least six months after I stopped drinking. I just couldn't trust myself.
I didn't really start drinking properly until I was in my late 20's. I dabbled with drink from about 14 but when I passed my driving test at 17 I preferred driving over drinking so pretty much stopped completely then. I still went out to the pubs and clubs but always took the car.
My mum still tells the story of her buying me 4 bottles of beer for my 18th birthday (which is in July) and there still being 2 of them in the fridge on Christmas day that year!
I landed a great job in Dublin in 2003 and I think that was where I learned to drink properly. I should have shares in Guinne$$ the amount I must have drank in my 4 years over there. Fond memories, but I must have blown a small fortune. You can have results or excuses, but not both.Challenge - be 14 Stone BY XMAS!
