Hi
As above, what insurance do I need to have to cover myself and anyone I may employ to undertake 2 extensions (single storey, detached bungalow with PWA (within 3 metres)), one startining this week and hopefully one in November?
Key information is that I've notified current Home and Buildingg insurance company but they said as I'm technically implying the builder on a daily rate, I need liability myself.
Any advice is gratefully appreciated.
Thanks in advance

You would need self build insurance. That will cover the existing home, new works and the liability aspect of your project.
You need public liability alongside employers liability which self build will include. These covers are designed to cover you should an accident occur that you are held negligent for.
Try ProAktive self build (www.selfbuildinsure.co.uk). They will be able to provide it.0 -
