Business Bank Account & Credit Rating

Options
Hi, I can't seem to find an answer to this online so I am wondering if anyone here might be able to advise?

I am named as a treasurer of a local sports team that is being set up and the chairman has asked me to open a jointly held business or charity-type bank account with him for the team. However, I have concerns about this as I know he has a much poorer credit score than me and I am worried that having my name on a jointly-held bank account with him may affect my credit score and therefore my chances of obtaining credit in the future.

Can anyone clarify for me how this works with regard to a business or charity bank account? Thank you.

Neither of you have a credit score, so don't worry about a fictional number

Thank you !!!. I have always believed that if I was to open a joint-bank account with someone who has a poor credit history that could affect my chances of obtaining credit in some way. Is this not actually the case then?

They may look at the person you are linked to when you make an application.

But not at the made up scores
