To avoid any confusion... when I say " you fail to acknowledge" what i mean is privilege fail to acknowledge this is an issue.

My experience is that when they say posted they mean approved, which is what you confirmed...

Solution is change the automated text but seemingly privilege can't be bothered as doesn't effect them just wastes my time chasing a cheque...

Thanks for responding... So if the text message is sent following approval why does it state "Claim update: We confirm that your claim payment of GBP xxxx.xx has been posted out to you by cheque."...….

Take care when responding to posts claiming to be on behalf of companies

MSE only allows authorised company reps to post here on behalf of their company (they are checked out by MSE before being allowed to post, and their sigs carry authorisation so we know they are genuine - anyone can claim to represent a business), and the poster to whom you are replying does not have any authorisation.

    Hi Future girl

Thanks for responding... So if the text message is sent following approval why does it state "Claim update: We confirm that your claim payment of GBP xxxx.xx has been posted out to you by cheque."

Also if the text was sent at 12 noon on the 30th, based on you message you are stating it was approved at this time why was the cheque dated the 31st...

Your systems need updating to actually inform rather than mislead people... But you don't want to acknowledge or correct this....

Regulator won't do anything either... As i am the 3rd party... Laughable as basically regulated company if you are the customer, unregulated if not... All this just leads to people being in hire cars longer which eventually drives up the cost of insurance.... Great business model...:T

The SMS is automated at the time of authorisation.
The cheque is printed and posted the day after authorisation.

Quentin that's a totally dickish post. Futuregirl isn't claiming to be posting on behalf of their company, she is merely an employee posting personal experience on how that company does things.

We don't know in what capacity the poster operates, but in that (now edited!) post had claimed to be replying for the insurer.

In another authoritative but incorrect post yesterday this poster has wrongly advised a newbie on an important insurance matter:

Playground name calling just looks like you are wanting to cause trouble.

There is a report facility you can use if you see a post you see as "totally dickish" whatever that means!
