Hi there
I am currently on maternity leave and my income will soon be dropping to SMP only.
I know we wont be eligible for anything (except Child Benefit) when I am back to work but there will be a few months when our income will be greatly reduced. I think we would be entitled to what would have been tax credits. I know that's not the right way to phrase it, ive never claimed benefits before.
My OH earns £27k pa and i will be on smp for 3 months. We have claimed child benefit.
we are home owners just for info.
does anyone know if it is worth us making an application? i have tried online calculators but they don.t seem to work for temporary circumstances.
TIA

Just input your income as it will be at the time you are on SMP only, UC is based on a monthly income not in a tax year like tax credits."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0
