There is lots about "Photographer's Rights" on the internet
This one is worth a look.

Basically as I understand it, in the UK you "own" that particular car, you do not own the rights to the design or "likeness". The maker owns that.
Also I would think that a club magazine would be considered "non-commercial use"
So I don't think you have any recourse apart from asking politely.0 -

Looks like it never became law to block/obscure reg. plates for cars photographed on public land:

You have no case to stop these photos, I'm afraid. Best to forget it and move on, why fixate upon something you cannot change?I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.

What? It’s every classic car enthusiasts dream to get their car in every magazine possible, more so on the front cover! This is what it’s all about. Pictures of your pride and joy for all the hard work you’ve put into it over the years.
More coverage means better chance of a sale if you decided to part with it.I had an old 1970’s 911 and worked hard on it to restore it. When it was looking nice it started popping up on a few forums and in one magazine. It’s been years now but sometimes I see the picture and it puts a smile on my face.
At the time, I sold it for good money. They knew the car cause they had seen it online so knew how much care had gone into it and that it had been well looked after.
A classic car enthusiast who doesn’t want his car picture published anywhere isn’t a real enthusiast.
Perhaps the reality of it is you’ve fallen out with the club and are now being a bit anal about the pictures.0 -
Of course you can, quite easily....
......all you have to do is sell the car.0 -

If your car was parked in a publicly accessible place then people can photograph it and use those photos as they wish. You don't have a right over the images just because it is your car. Draw a line and get on with life.0
