I recently booked a flight online through a third party. I had an email a few hours later to say it was cancelled due to a price error. Do they have to honour this?

Nope. They do not have to.Dwy galon, un dyhead,
Dwy dafod ond un iaith,
Dwy raff yn cydio’n ddolen,

Depends on when the contract was formed and whether it would have been obvious that it was a pricing error.
.You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
Would you have been able to cancel (for a full refund) within the same timescale?0

many third party ticket sellers do not have live pricing...you make a request to book the flight at the price advertised (which may not have existed for months) they then get the real price and you can either pay the extra or not proceed (the agent will not pay the difference for you)
You will find live prices on the airline website0 -
