I decided to use my signature to update on the amount of money I owe. When I first posted here on 29th October I owed £12164.49. Currently, if I stick to the agreements I have in place, I owe £8564.05. That's a difference of £3600.44. That's incredible.

I made another £40 tonight by selling an old mobile phone on Gumtree. It's going straight off the credit card.

Capital One - a small success today. They have agreed to lower the APR on my credit card account from 39.9% to 25.4%. Very pleased with that.

That is a saving of around £12 per month on a balance of £900 so not too shabby. Keep up with the selling and reducing the Capital one card.

The current balance is £804.11. I listed my iPhone 6s Plus on Gumtree and have someone calling after work tonight to hopefully buy it. It's on for £320. If it sells I'm going to put the whole amount off the balance and buy a cheap android phone. No pain no gain.

My iPad is also for sale. If it sells I'm going to do the same and buy a Kindle Fire on black Friday.

That's the iPhone sold for £320. The iPad is still for sale at £300 and seeing as I won't have any Apple products I may as well sell the new Apple TV. It's on at £100. If I can get those sold I'll put the difference to it and clear the credit card.

I'm kind of sad to be selling these though... Ah well.

I once had about 150 DVDs, I now have 18. I sold as many as I could/was willing to to be clear of my debts quicker.

These things can be replaced, it is hard, I'm not saying you won't miss them, but they are not gone forever, you can and will have them back one day.

Thanks Florence, I know you're right. I thought I was doing ok over the past few days but this has really brought it home. I'm trying to stay positive and think long term.
