Supposed to be booking hol today but just read Thomas Cook May go under. What now?

Hi all

I have been dealing with a travel agent called Kenwood Travel for a couple of days and they have secured us a great holiday at a great price. However, I have just read in The Sun newspaper (literally 5 minutes ago) that Thomas Cook is on the verge of going bust.
The holiday in question is a week in Cuba and then a week in Jamaica. The flights are with Thomas Cook.
If I book today (Fri 20th September 2019) what happens if Thomas Cook go bust next week? I know there are things in place to do with Credit Cards etc but I don’t know what to do now because I am letting the travel agent book all hotels and flights etc.
Any help please??

Leave until Monday morning , anything untoward would be announced before the stock exchange opens.

Get the feeling it's a game of poker on both sides.

Airline could be sold as a going concern so maybe flights honoured but accommodation not.

    Who knows

Yes, I fear it really is "wait and see". Although you should be protected by Kenwoods ATOL, it can be a hassle so makes more sense to wait. Either everything will be resolved by October 1st or it will have failed, no point in putting yourself through the agony
