Upon contacting them today, as my renewal falls outside of the 90 day renewal date I am unable to pay the annual charge as stated in their email thus saving on the increased charges.
Their email states:-
"Line Rental Saver is increasing from £197.88 to £209.88 (equivalent of £17.49 a month) from 3rd December 2019. If you choose to renew your Line Rental Saver before the 3rd December you can renew at the current price."
I was advised this was a "generic email", I pointed out that adding ten words to the effect that "only applies to customers within their 90 day renewal period" would still make it a "generic" email.
That was rant 1 and rant 2 is theirs and many other corporate organisations) use of positive language when advising increased costs - email subject heading "Updates to your service"

You object to companies using positive language?
It is an update, there’s nothing wrong with referring to it that way.
Glad I got out of call centres...0
