Use the Snipping Tool utility.0

Do you have a PrtSc (Print Screen) button? Press it to copy the whole screen (or screens if you have multiple monitors), open Paint and press Ctrl + V to paste it in. Save the file. Pres Alt + PrtSc to take a screenshot of only the highlighted aplication.
Or use the Snipping Tool as mentioned above.
Edit: Sorry - missed the Mac User comment at the end of the OP.0 -

However, it probably wouldn't catch on…0 -

Whenever people ask questions like this it makes me think that somebody should invent some sort of online search facility or "search engine", whereby people could type in questions like this, the "search engine" searches the internet for web pages that match the question and displays the pages it finds as a list of "search results". The user could click on each result to access the underlying web page.
However, it probably wouldn't catch on…
Perhaps we could name it after Googol, a large number of ten to the power of 100 which could be the number of web pages that will be scanned by this sorcery sounding "search engine" of which you speak.0 -
Then we could disband the forum, as no one could ask a question that didn't have an answer in this Googol.......Great idea...:TDrinking Rum before 10am makes you

Or give an answer to the question and so come up in the list of helpful results for people to find on Googol.
I'd use the 'Print Screen' key way as suggested by DoaM.Error! - Keyboard not attached. Press any key to continue.0 -
Win + Shift + s keys0

snipping tool has been/is being replaced by snip and sketch"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0

Assuming the 'Mac User' bit refers to familiarity, and it is indeed windows 10 we're talking about. If Onedrive is signed in you can configure it to automatically save a screenshot direct to a file when the print screen key is pressed
