As a landlord, can there be negative consequences (for me) of a CCJ being registered at an address for a property I own, in a former tenant's name?
If so, can I get the address on the CCJ updated?
I've asked the same question at ccbc@justice.gov.uk, but I thought the fine people on this forum might answer more quickly.
Thanks!

Other than the tenant being bothered by bailiffs there's not much else they can do.0

The best you can do is inform the court the person no longer resides there.
They’ll track them down eventually0 -
Thank you both. I'll wait for the court to reply and see what they say.0

Credit files are linked to PEOPLE not ADDRESSES so there will be no negative impact on your/ your tenant's ability to get credit whilst residing at the address. As above however, you may get hassled by bailiffs from time to time, which may be stressful, so I'd consider brushing up on what to do ahead of time so you know what to do and what your rights are.
