I had two accounts with Birmingham Midshires. One in my name and one in my name as a trustee for my son, his name was also shown on the account.
On checking I can trace payment of 400 shares in Halifax were paid. Would another 400 shares be due for the other account? They were paid in April 1999.
Can anyone remember or help?

Windfall shares were for voting members. IIRC children in some cases got a cash payment instead.
It's too late to worry about it now. There was 3 years to claim shares after which shares were sold. There was then a further 9 years to claim the proceeds of the share sale.

i don't know about the halifax specifically, but a number of demutualizations paid "windfalls" to the first-named account holders. if that was you on both accounts, you were probably only entitled to 1 windfall.0
