Car Insurance -No Claims Confusion

Options
Hi,
I hope someone can shed some light on this..!

So I joined admiral on 3 years no claims.
I was in a small accident which I was at fault and the other party claimed from my insurance.

The policy says that it gets reduced by 2 years after a claim so upon renewal in 2 months do I declare 2 years no claims (as should have been 4) or 1??

Thanks in advance,
Emma

I would say 1 as you did not have 4 years claim free but your renewal notice will tell you.

The policy should point out that no NCD is awarded when there's been a claim during the year, though the clue about that is in the name of the "bonus"

So you will have the one year remaining from the 3 you had at the start of the year.

You had 3, you had a claim so you did not earn another one for the current year, and then deduct 2 from your 3.

Your will only earn the extra year by not claiming within that year and being insured for the full year.
