Well I'm only on day 15 and I've already lost track of how much is in the pot! I've just been chucking in all my £1 coins when I get them (been taking it very literally!) but i do have a very satisfying old vase on the kitchen windowsill slowly filling with £1. You don't have to if you don't want, as you will have a eye on how much £365 will look like, and you can always just keep chucking and get a total at the end....
No hard and fast rule, I would say unless you want to keep a total that is..
