    They could make a case that notice was given 15 march

    I would argue you were not put on notice at that time but went into consultation group then one to ones and until they give proper notice it has not started and you will need your notice paying.

    Probably the sensible thing for them will be to terminate contracts on the 5th/6th work out what every one is due for notice pay/PILON and accrued unused holiday and make that payment on the 15th as normal.

    I would ask in the first one2one when will you be put on notice and get a summary of the payments due so you can check them.
