Will this shift me to Universal Credit?

Options
Single parent, 3 children. Small entitlement to Tax Credits. One of my children has just received a life-changing diagnosis and I have been told he will be entitled to DLA. I understand that being in receipt of DLA will increase my Tax Credit entitlement. I have run the figures through Entitled To and this certainly seems to be the case.

Would this count as a change in circumstances and result in a switch to Universal Credit?

No, it's not classed as a change of circumstances. If awarded DLA then you will need to make sure you report the changes to HMRC within 3 months of the date of the decision, this way you'll be back dated any money owed.
