Does anyone know what the 2018 day rates are for tradesmen in zone 4 on the outskirts of West London? (I'm guessing it won't be as much as central London?)
I'm surprised there isn't a website or page of MSE dedicated for up to date trades rates already!
The only info I can find online is this but it seems they're not even close to accurate:
https://www.tradesmansaver.co.uk/knowledgehub/what-are-tradesman-pay-rates
It would be great if you could post what you paid recently for each trade (no mates rates or outdated prices), not only for my benefit but also for people who find this on google in the near future. The more replies we get the more the accurate picture will be. If we get enough input from people, I'll post at the end with the max range & average figures for each trade. Maybe if we get enough response it could become a sticky. Thanks
Please post below filling in your prices like this:

Funny question.
Does anyone that work in any job have a graph to see how much everyone else is earning in that trade.
There are a myriad of costs involved in running any trade .
Lets start with the basics and see how we fare.
Public Liability Insurance.
Staff Insurance
Wages
NI
Pensions
Holiday pay
Sick pay
Vehicle costs, insurance, tax, running , fuel across the UK (20p ltrs more in London than Manchester.
Office rent and business rates.
Lift truck rental
Marketing and advertising
Capital Equipment
Wear and Tear
Tax
Travel expenses for staff staying away.
My wages
Profits as we are a growing company
Web site
Accountant
Now divide that by 365 days and we get a base cost we need to make to break even.
All the above is free..... the knowledge of how to do our job... priceless.
OR I might be a illegal immigrant with none of the above and no overheads just making a wage for myself running an old banger without a care in the world.

As a plasterer, day can vary from £nil to £4000

This is what I used to pay:
Carpenter: £250
Bricklayer: £250
Labourer: £120
Electricians: £300
Plumbers: £250
Builders: not sure
You missed Gas engineer: £3000 -
I had my bathroom refitted last October the general builder I employed says his day rate is £240.00
He had to get in a plasterer, and a plumber though and don't know what their rates were as I was charged an all in price.
I'm in Berkshire0
