Hi there. I am applying for a mortgage for a house £360K, my deposit £180K. I have discovered a CCJ from 2 years ago I was completely unaware about. Should this have any effect on my application? Second, is there any way to either appeal or apply to have it removed?

Yes of course it will affect your application.
What was the CCJ for?0 -
It will affect your application but it won't make it impossible.
We have recently got a mortgage with Kensington with 1 satisfied CCJ and 1 unsatisfied CCJ.0 -

Of course - particularly if it is not satisfied.

How do we know? You have given us absolutely no details surrounding the circumstances of the CCJ.

I would recommend posting this in the Mortgages and Endowments thread where the resident brokers might be able to give a more informed opinion about your chances. No doubt they will need some more details.Iwisachief wrote: »Hi there. I am applying for a mortgage for a house £360K, my deposit £180K.
