I hope someone can help me answer this. Does claiming child benefit entitle you to full year of state pension entitlement?
As ask as OH claims child benefit and is self employed, but doesn't earn enough to pay tax, however in previous years has paid voluntary national insurance. Is there any benefit in doing this if already claiming child benefit?

As long as the child is under 12 years old then the person claiming CB gets class 3 NI credits automatically.
