    Accounts have been tidied and eBay money has been shuffled;

£1.90 sent to savings to round off the number. Now at £300/£3000.
£24.02 sent to mortgage to bring the total to £2906.82/£4000.

Any new money coming in or saved from budget will be sent to the mortgage initially, as I would like to get as close as possible to the £3k mark.

Receipt hog money has arrived and been shuffled to the mortgage. I also shuffled £3.30 from 1 final eBay sale - this will be posted today.

This brings my mortgage op total for this year to £2915.12/£4000.

I think I have run out of ebayable items at the minute, so will focus on keeping spends low.

    Good Morning!

A few days have passed since my last update and while I haven't been updating, I have been reading other MFW diaries to keep me inspired.

I really enjoy you all popping by as it is really motivating for me, so thank you x

The last few days have seen some spends - all planned and some freebies thrown in for good measure.

    Spends

-£55.85 grocery shop from Asda, this included some tins for the cupboard that should last us a good 3-4 weeks. I have also run the Asda Price Guarantee on both of my last 2 online shops and have approx £4 being added to the account towards my next shop.

    - £38 on chinese takeaway last night - we paid for our meal and the meals for my little brother and his new girlfriend. It was the first time we have met her and she was lovely.

    - £7.50 at M&S to finish a friends birthday present and also some cake for after our lunch.

    - £25 deposit for an xmas meal with friends at the local Toby Carvery. The meal is a set price of £10.99 for two courses, so even with a drink thrown in; I should get £10 back on the day. Just seeing this as having 'pre-paid' my meal.

    Freebies

    - I won my first competition! It was a childrens book by Isla Fisher, which will be gifted to one of my lovely nieces.

    - I got a free lunch at work on Friday (I think someone felt sorry for me as my week went from bad to worse), but it was appreciated and cheered me up.

    - Grabbed a 'free' round of hot chocolates after the park on Thursday. I had been given some Costa points after a complaint I had made earlier in the year. I wasn't complaining with a view to receiving anything; I just felt the feedback was certainly warranted given the awful service. Any how, this paid for both LO and I to have a cheeky hot chocolate. Much appreciated.

    - My friend made us lunch when we popped in to drop her birthday presents off. I bought the pudding as my contribution to the meal.

I have spent this morning balancing the accounts and there wasn't anything for me to shuffle really, as I am pretty much bang on budget.

I have a small overage, but as it is so early in the month, I will just use this as a buffer for now.

OH is painting the box room woodwork today, using some gloss we had already bought and I am pottering around getting some small jobs done, so today will be an NSD :D

    Hi,

Just popping in after a short absence. Embarrassingly the last week has been dire on the spends front.

I had the week off of work to get LO settled at school (first year and a week of half days at school), but it would appear that I have crashed. I have been really under the weather this week and have had one too many 'convenience meals'. This was a temporary situation which will be rectified swiftly.

LO has also shot up like a weed and so the autumn/winter clothing purchases had to be moved forward by a couple of weeks. £143 spent including replacement pjs, tights, dresses, tops etc, she is 4, but wears 6-7  so everything seems to be more expensive.

On the positive side, I received both confirmation of my increase in hours at work as well as well as a pay increase. The full effect of this will kick in from October.

Need to get my act together sharpish.

    Good Morning.

I am returning after a short leave of absence ;)

Just popping by with a quick update as it's payday.

Accounts balanced and the savings pot has been increased to £969.35/£3000. My target for October is to under-spend in other areas and get the savings account up to a nice round £1000.
This £30.65 under-spend should be very achievable.

This month's focus will simply be staying on track and practicing good money habits such as NSD's :D
