Nice to have a wee update nhs. Basics money in vs money out vs time spent are important for everyone. Good luck with your mini challenge.

NSD today. Food shopping will be done tomorrow and £60 has been budgeted for the week.

I also need to collect my 2 for £7 xmas chocolates from my moms and will drop the money for those off tomorrow as well.

4 hours overtime clocked up yesterday as OH had the day off and could pick LO up from school. OH also called the utility supplier yesterday and a £97 refund is being processed as we had an overage on the account.

We have agreed that half of the money will be used to pay for an intensive swimming course for LO and a cinema trip in Oct half term (OH is having LO as I can't get the time off).

Food shopping done today and I spent just after £60 in Asda including £11 from my personal spends (new work trousers, 2 birthday cards and a sweet treat). I then spent £22.30 at the butchers.

I went over budget, but did pick up more stuff than anticipated (baked beans were on offer, as was squash etc).

I will only need to grab a bottle of milk at the end of the week now.

    Good Morning.

Up bright and early this morning and am ticking jobs off the list in preparation for the week ahead.

I have had a couple of NSD's in the last week. We did spend some money yesterday when we went out to celebrate my youngest brothers 21st birthday. We gave him £50 cash for his birthday and LO chose a £6 Caterpillar birthday cake for him, which both LO and Bro loved. It was lovely to see them share that moment together as LO adores him.

My parents were incredibly generous and paid for ten of us to have a meal out before we moved on for a few celebratory drinks - before the younger ones went off clubbing until 06.00am  I was in bed for 10.30! :rotfl:

Possibly a big spend tomorrow as the car is in for its annual service and MOT. Minimum cost will be around £180 all in - provided there are no replacement parts required (fingers crossed).

I have checked on my accounts this morning and have shifted £10.23 to the savings to round down the current account. Savings are now at £979.91/£3000.

I think we have enough food in to get us through most of the week. I will have a root around the pantry to see what if anything is needed to see us through at minimum cost.

Energy refund has come through and I have sent it over to OH personal account for him to pay for LO swimming lessons and a couple of day trips come the half term :D

Right, off to get some more jobs done and then I will catch up on diaries later with a cuppa.

Fairly productive, but not very MSE day.

I managed to kill our 8 year old lawnmower trying to do one last cut of the season. The lawn has two stripes down the middle of it :rotfl: perhaps we will set a gardening trend - who knows???

Online grocery shop has been done as this week is looking a little manic and if I am honest my sanity may not stretch to a trip round the supermarket. £49 spent including some staple items to bring the spend up to the required amount for home delivery. The remaining £10 odd of this weeks grocery budget was sent straight to savings.

I now only need around £9.50 to get me to the £1k mark :T

I hope everyone has a great week.

Very happy today!! I have skimmed the under-spend on the car servicing budget to both the savings and mortgage.

    Savings now at £1,000/£3,000
    Mortgage OP at £3050.32/£4000

    :j:j:j

I did have to have some work done to get it through its MOT, but it came in under budget, so I am happy.

The next target will be to get to the £4k of OP's as we are on the home straight :D

    Good morning.

Just dropping in quickly to update before heading off to work.

After having big spends at the beginning of the week I have deliberately left my purse at home for the last two days and have ended up with two NSD's. I will be continuing this for as much of this week as I can, although Sunday will see food shopping spends.

I will be picking up overtime this weekend and OH has just told me that he may also have to work on Saturday morning. With my current workload, I am likely to be working two of the next three weekends and OH has 1 weekend OT booked.

OH is currently working on getting rid of the family loan. We are on track to have this paid off by end Nov; which is significantly longer than we originally planned but it will be gone this year :j

    Have a great day x

    It's Friday!!!

This week has been very busy at work and I am pleased that today was productive (the rest of the week should have been played to Benny Hill music).

I have booked my OT for tomorrow, as OH's OT was moved to tonight. That means we can have some family time on Sunday :D

The plan of leaving my purse at home has worked a treat. With the exception of the large (budgeted) spends on Monday, I have spent a total of 30p. The 30p was spent today on a sweet treat for LO after a great week at school :money:

I will get the meal plan for next week done this evening and then go shopping either tomorrow or Sunday. Nephews birthday is on Sunday, so I will withdraw his £20 when I am out doing the shopping ready for his party on Sunday afternoon.

I hope everyone has a fab weekend!!!
