Having just renewed my car insurance with elephant as they were the cheapest by far, I thought i'd pass on a few tips which reduced my premium considerably.
Tick the box to say you use another car regularly
Even if you're single add a female second driver (friend of mine aged 27 i'm 29, adding her dropped my premium by £45!!!!!
Tick the box to say she uses another car regularly
Enter as low an anual milage as possible (without telling porkies)
Protected no claims only cost me an extra £4
£100 voluntary xs seemed to be the best balance
Give it a go

Holy sh*t! My current policy is up for renewel on the 27th, just phoned them and they want £477 (inc breakdown, legal cover £100 excess).
Just gone onto elephant.co.uk and they've quotyed me £277!!!!! £200 saving which my present insurers have already said they can't beat.
This cover includes:
£100,00 legal cover
Car stereo cover
Free car when mines getting repaired
£150 excess
Thanks MSE, the biggest saving of my life on car insurance! I was paying £45 p/m for my insurance, now I've just paid cash thereby reducing my monthly outgoings by £45!!!
Cheers

What if i don't drive another car regularly tho? They might find out surely?
Must say i was well impressed with elephant.co.uk and admiral. Adding my family as named drivers knocked £200 off my premium!0
