Finance for maths functional skills L2

My daughter is 22 and wants to do a functional skills L2 in maths with Learn Direct.
Where can we can finance for this? I thought it would be free or at least there would be funding or 'loan' as she doesnt hold a maths qualification. However we have been told that Advanced learner loan wont apply and we cant find anything else.
Its only £400 but its 400 we just dont have and cant take out a normal loan/card/overdraft. But she wants to go to uni to be a vet.

But neither of us have 100 a month spare to pay the installments thats the issue with that. I honestly thought it was free or there was finding at this level0

Try your local college to see if they have any free level 2 maths courses in the evenings, ours offers English, Maths and IT for free. It also says on the Learn Direct website that Level 1 to 3 maths is free - surely the £400 course is just for additional support - has your daughter called them to explain she only wants the free option? There's plenty of online help (BBC bitesize, youtube tutorials etc) and revision guides you can borrow from the library for additional help if she needs it. If you're short on funds now also might be a good idea for her to check if she could manage uni costs with student loans available to her, in case she needs to get an additional job to save up."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better." That is the standard course. There is also a level 2 supported course at £275 and a level 2 specialised course at £416.670 -
Maybe she needs to delay while she saves up for the course.
Research courses at your local college of education or night classes run by the LA.
Has she checked that that qualification will be accepted for a Veterinary Science course as they do require very high qualifications.0
